Life Development Centre, an institution dedicated for the social service among mentally retarded children in every possible aspect with genuine effort

Life Development Centre established in the year 1997 (2053 B.S) with some seven children, the center has now passed its 7th year with more than 30 children from 4yrs to 40yrs.

What is Learning Difficulty?

People with learning difficulty are those who develop at a below average rate and experience difficulty in learning and social adjustment. Learning difficulty is not a disease, nor should it be confused with mental illness. People with learning difficulty develop in the same way as people without learning difficulty, but at a slower rate. Children and adults with learning difficulty need the same basic services that all people need for normal development.

These include education, vocational preparation, health services, recreational opportunities, and many more. In addition, many persons with learning difficulty need specialized services for special needs. Such services include diagnostic and evaluation centres; special early education opportunities, beginning with infant stimulation programs and continuing through preschool; and educational programs that include age-appropriate activities, functional academics, transition training, and opportunities for independent living and competitive employment to the maximum extent possible.

It has caused a universal anxiety and left none. Parents of such children are burdened into anxious situation thinking their children's obscure future. With learning difficulties, childrens’ life seems miserable and totally objected by the society.
Now the question arises that,

With this uncertain fate there remains no solution except to accept the destiny as it comes. Even such issue does exist at every strata of the society; the level of social consciousness towards these unfortunates remains negligible. Even the respective government seems to neglect its responsibilities. Generally, it would have been better if the government take necessary steps to facilitate the institutes, which are working for the betterment of those children.


The children at the center have proved that they can also make an earning by doing something creative if they are properly guided.
