Facilities

Life Development Centre is here to provide the perfect environment to aid in the development of the mentally retarded child. A mentally deficient child will definitely develop severe social and emotional problems as well. Parents should try to accept the fact that their child is mentally challenged and help him or her grow to the full potential that he or she is capable of. Some people try for a miraculous cure and expend a lot of time and energy in search of a divine elixir. Even though such an attitude is understandable, it does not show any results. Here children learn how to survive and progress in our world. Special skills are taught to them to help them make good use of their time and lives. Each child is given a task that suits to his or her mental growth. Besides the centre, parents and family members at home also must provide a secure environment for the development of the abilities and interests of the mentally retarded children.

The centre is providing different types of indoor and outdoor entertainment activities for children that help to improve their physical and mental condition.


Facilities:	Vocational Trainings:
Clean and homely environment maintained. Indoor and outdoor entertainment provided. Special attention given to the epileptic children. Speech-therapy provided. Physiotherapy provided. Music-therapy provided. Paying Guest facility is available here for the foreign volunteers. The foreigners who want to volunteer in the centre and want to stay at the centre can get this facility. The training centres who provide services to the mild and normal children feel difficulty to provide services for those children who are from severe groups (who are very difficult to handle). But Life Development Centre has been providing services to the severe children who aren't taken in other institutions. According to Mr. Manandhar "The only difference between those children and us is that, we are bit faster and they are bit slower. Under no circumstances should parents discriminate their children."
