difficulty children needs clinical checkup at least
one day a week but the institute is not in the position
of affording the doctor to them. Regular physiotherapist
and speech-therapist are also out of reach, which are
very much necessary for the children. Also musictherapist
is essential.
The institute is in a great lack of trained professionals
for training of the children. The institute currently
has 11 staffs including Mr. and Mrs. Manandhar for 32
children in the center. Besides, the institute has been
provided with some temporary foreign volunteers from
Teaching Abroad Nepal (branch of Teaching and Projects
Abroad, TPA) for every three months. LDC doesn’t
get any amount from Teaching Abroad Nepal for the placement
of these volunteers at our center.
The institute has scarcity of the proper equipments
for the children.
If LDC would have it's own school building, than these
problems would be solved.
Some children's parents out here cannot afford the
fees for the education in the centre. The centre itself
has been providing services to the children with free
of cost and some paying half of the fees. But sometimes,
even the parents’ doesn't pay the fees in time,
which creates difficult situation.
A nurse to be appointed so that any time she can be
available here at the centre at the needed time on contact
basis. This will be a great service for the children.
